We don't believe in cutting corners.
Especially, when it comes to quality.

Solid brass is a definitive lighting element for sustained beauty and longevity. Our custom metal parts are laboriously crafted one at a time by skilled artisans in the USA. We don't believe in cutting corners, especially when it comes to quality. Metal spinning is a dying craft that takes years to become competent at and decades to master. The process requires strength, coordination, and precision to slowly form sheet metal disks over a mold on a spinning lathe.

Crafting each part is a dangerous and time consuming process. The process begins by cutting heavy gauge sheet metal into squares on an industrial shear. Then the squares are cut one at a time into a circular blanks that are used to make each part.

In order to stretch and shape the metal without it cracking from being pushed too far, parts are annealed with heat throughout the spinning process. Annealing makes the metal strong enough to be formed into our custom silhouettes.

After slowly being spun into shape on the lathe, each piece is trimmed, deburred and sanded. Once we receive the parts at our studio we hand-finish each part to bring out the beauty of the brass.
