While the globe light is often associated with the Bauhaus movement or mid-century design, its origins trace farther back to the first decade of the twentieth century. Rooted in pure geometry, the spherical globe represents minimalism in its most elemental form. Striking as a singular statement or arranged in thoughtful groupings, the design remains timeless, versatile, and quietly architectural.
Our globe fixtures are defined by uncompromising quality, crafted with solid brass components and thick, hand-blown glass shades. When our founder could not find brass globe pendants or sconces for her Eichler home renovation, she designed her own—launching Cedar & Moss in the process. Globes have remained central to our collection ever since, becoming a defining element of the Cedar & Moss aesthetic.
With multiple globe sizes and brass, wood, or ceramic canopies to choose from you can customize the look of your globe surface light to work with any aesthetic.

Orders
To place an order, select your options and quantity and securely check out online. If you need assistance with measurements or want to ensure you'll love the finish, you can contact our customer service team or purchase finish samples.
Deliveries and Returns
All orders are shipped via UPS. Packages are insured and trackable. An email containing the tracking number will be sent to you when the order ships. Once your order has shipped, deliveries in the continental US by UPS Ground will take 2-5 days from our Oregon Studio.
This item is eligible for return for up to 45 days from delivery.
Custom items, clearance items, items that have been installed, or items not in their original factory condition are not eligible for return. Orders with quantities of ten or more items are non-returnable.
Shipping fees are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please ensure returned items are packaged properly, as we are unable to accept returns on damaged items.
Once your return is delivered, it will be processed in 3-5 business days. Please allow an additional 2-3 days for any refunds to be processed by your card carrier.

Ceramic Canopy Finishes
Brownstone White
A smooth, matte white surface over a layer of rich, red clay gives Brownstone White the depth and character reminiscent of natural stone surfaces.
Forest Green
Shades of the forest. A translucent quality enhances the textures and patterns of Forest Green, pooling in the low areas and receding from the high spots.
Indigo Blue
Depths of the ocean. A translucent quality enhances the textures and patterns of Indigo Blue, pooling in the low areas and receding from the high spots.
Ceramic Canopy Patterns
Star
The Star pattern is taken from Pratt + Larson's Scraffito collection. Inspired by medieval European and Arabic geometry, the original designs were hand carved – giving the lines a beautiful, drawn quality rarely captured in ceramic tile.
Sunflower
Inspired by Pratt + Larson's embossed ceramic art tiles. The Sunflower texture allows the glaze to pool in the low areas and recede in the high spots. This gives the pattern a wonderful sense of depth with a large variation of color.
Swift
The Swift pattern is reminiscent of Pratt + Larson's smooth field tile. A smooth, even surface gives each canopy a clean, modern feeling that showcases the eye-catching beauty of Pratt + Larson's magical ceramic glazes.
